The Freelist is provided FREE to the industry.

The SMA was formed by stage managers for stage managers. We know the problems you may encounter and can offer advice or simply someone to talk to. If we don’t know the answer, we know a member who does.
The SMA is the only body in the UK exclusively representing stage management. We can take your concerns to the right people; make your voice heard and give it the weight of your many colleagues. The SMA raises the profile of stage management and the issues that affect it.
Any Graduate of an SMA approved stage management (or technical theatre) vocational course whose application is supported by a reference from their course tutor and approved by the SMA Board of Directors.
Fill in the application form below. Let your referees know that the SMA will be contacting them, as this will speed up your application. Once we have checked and approved your application, we will get in contact with ways to pay.
6 months: £54
There is a one-time option to extend for a further 6 months.
After two six month periods you will need to upgrade to Professional Membership with 1 further reference (no join/rejoin fee) or Associate membership.

One referee required, must be your course head or tutor and familiar with your college stage management work.
